We Had A Chance, A Test, To Preserve Our Democracy In 2021, And We Failed

Immediately after the attack on the Capitol, numerous leaders of the Republican party publicly condemned the attack, publicly condemned Trump. The attack on the Capitol was an attempt to remove our democratic form of government. The atmosphere was ripe to punish those who were behind the coup.

We failed, and after a period of time every Republican politician was persuaded to back the insurrection, and every one did, except for Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney. We gave the insurrectionists time to regroup, time to escape.

Our country is now an oligarchy not a democracy, billionaires control our government. Oligarchies are not permanent, they are transitional.
There will come a time in the future when we, the American people, must once again make a choice. Do we want to throw out the billionaires and return to our democracy or do we want to become a country like Russia or Hungary?

Frankly, I am not convinced we have enough people in this country who want to fight to recapture our lost democracy. There are people today who do not understand that we lost our democratic Constitutional Republic.

I am ready to fight.

That's what should happen. But it won't.

On November 5, 2024, the American electorate gave the traitors control of all three branches of the federal government.

On January 20, 2025, a CONVICTED FELON, INSURRECTIONIST, TRAITOR, and PUTIN-PUPPET will be inaugurated.

None of us will be safe when that happens.

Future elections might be fixed just like in Russia.

Trump is going to consolidate his power.

We can't control what other people do.

We can only control what we do.

If a U.S. citizen chooses to stay, that's their decision.

If a U.S. citizen chooses to leave, that's their decision.

There are other solid reasons for leaving this country even if Trump was never a threat (for example, access to universal healthcare, a less divided country politically, etc.).

2021 was the year to defend Democracy so that it could not be stolen from us. All the politicians let us down.

Trump is going to use his power now to do whatever he wants. We could not do anything in the past 4 years to actually hold him accountable.

it's disgusting and scary. All the people saying that women would vote to protect their rights. That minorities would vote. That Latin Americans would vote enmass for Democracy. They never showed up. Trump, who couldn't do a decent rally, won convincingly.

Repressive billionnaires buy newspapers, tv stations, social media and radio stations to control the message. Which progressive billionnaire has done the same thing?

This is a very bad period in human history.

What about Magats threatening election officials and other public officials to force them to quit? Since 2021 thousands of public officials have quit their jobs and DOJ indicted 4 people last I checked.

What about Magats throwing out thousands of votes in blue districts? What about all of the suppression of voting in Blue districts? What about blowing up ballot drop boxes in blue districts? What about the bomb threats in blue districts? What about Elon Musk buying Twitter and then using it to post lies about Democrats? What about foreign money flowing into Republicans?

I do not blame Democrats nor blame the messaging because I know where it is going, we need to pick more moderate candidates, NOT.
