The nominees who will be the most destructive to us all. The legislation. The immigration raids and detentions.

We have such important things to do, each of us.

Condemning Snoop or anyone else and encouraging boycotting or other actions to show how he's upset us will not help anyone in the vulnerable groups Trump and his Project 2025 religious zealots are planning to target.

I've been studying Timothy Snyder's On Tyranny, reading Rachel Bitecofer's Hit 'Em Where It Hurts: How to Save Democracy by Beating Republicans at Their Own Game, attending webinars on effective tactics to use in blocking as many of the worst plans as we can. My friends and I are actively looking for other ways to support democratic institutions like public schools and to help vulnerable people.

I'm facilitating work my church is doing to pull together resources to help undocumented individuals and families know where they can get legal help for instance.

Marley was a musical giant and a freedom fighter no doubt. He was also a Rastafarian who literally believed Haile Selassie (The Emperor of Ethiopia) was God. Selassie was pretty complicated in his own right. A hero in some eyes. A dictator in the eyes of others.

I guess my point is, I don't think Marley would be down with the over the top level of division going on in this country right now. At the One Love concert in 78 he called up Michael Manley and Edward Seaga (I won't get into the history. Easy enough to look up) on stage to try and make peace between the sides. It didn't really work but for that day Marley at least tried.

People are pissed off and I get it, but the temperature and divisions in the rank and file is off the charts. The fight back shouldn't be civil war. It should be class war. Just my opinion.
