It's all Mike McQueary's fault that he got fired.

Instead of doing the right thing and handling the rape when he saw it in progress, he waited TILL THE NEXT DAY, then passed the buck and drug Paterno into it when he should have never been consulted at all.

Thanks to his cowardice, Paterno's reputation was destroyed and his superiors dragged down as well.
