Do we need to worry about Sotomayor

She definitely was showing a bit of age when the justices walked in. Could just be paranoia.

You mean 7-2.

7-2 doesn't even matter at this point. 6-3 is enough to stymie all progress, and it will last for decades.

Hoping for three red justices to leave the court while we control the white house and senate could add decades to the timeline

especially the ones in the front. Hell she’s probably concerned like the rest of the pro-democracy justices.

When the USA goes bankrupt Thomas and his fellow RW colleagues will be highly concerned.

Life expectancy is about a dozen years earlier than for the population as a whole.

That’s why some in the party were hoping to get her to step aside in the wake of the election. Of course that was far too late.

Fortunately - she had the best possible health care and all the incentive in the world to avoid being replaced by Trump.

Well, overall we had a good run as a country while it lasted. For over 50 years I have only ever voted for the Democratic candidates and I've considered it my duty to vote. Sadly, that has not been the philosophy of too many Democrats and those on the Left who have no problem in voting for 3rd party candidates or are so complacent that they don't bother to vote at all. We reap what we sow.

The only fix in the next few decades will be """packing the Court""" to undo the damage that has been done.

So, to that extent, no, we don't need to worry about Sotomayor because if she ends up being replaced by Trump for whatever reason, it will just be another seat on the Supreme Court that we will need to eventually """pack""" to offset.
