And I neither agree nor disagree with it. I believe that the Dems leaders have decided to sit back and let it rain shit on America until they have to swoop in as the only viable alternative and save the day in four years. I think that they believe that they put the best message forward in the last election and got soundly rejected. Now people need to feel the repercussions of the other message over the next four years to realize how dumb they've been in the past.
I expect the Dems to sit back and nonchalantly point out the repercussions of trumpian policies over the next four years but not much else. Let them eat cake.

(490 posts)If Dem leaders fight to save the public from what they voted for, it will only benefit the party in power. Voters will say it ain't so bad, let's keep it going. Let them find out that there really is a difference in the parties.
Think. Again.

(12,412 posts)the UHC chief -- for laws on denials and maybe even pushed for further healthcare reform. Instead, they did nothing.
Interestingly, CMS the week before Luigi cut loose did issue a proposal for insurers participating in ACA and Medicare Advantage to submit detail reports on the number of denials, type (simple coding issues vs outright denial of care while patient is being treated), number overturned on appeals, outstanding denials, etc.
One has to wonder what took CMS that long?

(56,193 posts)We don't have a whole lot of choice, especially if the house manages to line up behind Donnie, in terms of what happens.
But if we continue to let right-wingers control the narrative, we'll continue to be screwed. They will always blame democrats or the Chinese or trans people or immigrants or whatever, and it will work unless we are right there every time placing the blame squarely on republicans.
We *must* fight back loudly and strongly and make sure America knows who is really to blame.
This is the *only* way we *might* be able to save our democracy, or what little is left of it.

(6,293 posts)If you're able to sit back and say, "Let's just wait until it gets so bad, that, we can swoop in and help as a viable alternative," you're condemning lots of people to suffer and die, and, are in a position of privilege.
Those people won't be alive to see the alternative. They will have needlessly died.
It's a fucking horrible strategy that is no different than throwing your hands up and not caring, like they don't give a shit in the least bit and can't be bothered.

Not a real good strategy for staying alive as a nation. My 2cts.
