https://www.rawstory.com/trump-birthright-citizenship-2670902697/A conservative legal analyst expressed alarm over Donald Trump's executive order purporting to end a constitutional right.
The newly inaugurated president issued a order shortly after he was sworn in to a second term rolling back the constitutionally protected right to birthright citizenship, which has long been understood to be required under the Constitutions 14th Amendment, and Newsmax legal analyst Andrew Napolitano was surprised by some of Trump's actions.

"That is a very that is a very troublesome thing that he wants to do," Napolitano said. "In my view, it's directly articulated in the Constitution. That would be like Joe Biden or Barack Obama saying, 'I'm not going to obey the Second Amendment, I'm going to start confiscating guns, even though the right to keep and bear arms is directly articulated. He's going to find opposition on the right, the left, progressives, libertarians, conservatives, liberals. He's going to find opposition from across the board on that."
No shit, Sherlock.

Two dozen Democratic-led states and cities are challenging President Donald Trumps bid to end birthright citizenship in court, a major constitutional challenge to one of the White Houses signature policies.
The lawsuits allege that a Trump executive order signed Monday violates the 14th Amendment of the Constitution, which gives a constitutional right of citizenship to all children born in the United States.
Despite a Presidents broad powers to set immigration policy, however, the Citizenship Stripping Order falls far outside the legal bounds of the Presidents authority, states a lawsuit from 18 states, Washington, DC, and San Francisco......
Also Tuesday, the attorneys general of Washington, Arizona, Oregon and Illinois brought their own lawsuit on the west coast. It was filed at a federal court in Seattle that is within the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals, a traditionally left-leaning court that has become less liberal in recent years.
Both suits are also seeking a preliminary order blocking the policy before the Trump administration can take steps to implement it.
Similar lawsuits targeting Trumps order were brought by the American Civil Liberties Union and immigration rights groups on Monday.
