John Fetterman Hits Back At Rumors That He's Planning To Leave The Democratic Party

https://ca.news.yahoo.com/john-fetterman-hits-back-rumors-140206288.html

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) has moved to dispel concerns that he is planning on leaving the Democratic Party while Republicans are now fully in control of the federal government.

In an interview with Semafor on Monday evening, Fetterman called the rumors circulating on social media “amateur hour shit.”

The senator explained that he has no plans to follow in the footsteps of former Sens. Kyrsten Sinema (I-Ariz.) or Joe Manchin (I-W.Va.), who switched their party affiliation, registering as independents.

“It’s not gonna happen,” Fetterman said. “And even if I wanted to do that, that is a rocket sled to Palookaville to try to switch. I would make a pretty bad Republican.”

I would take this as intending to reassure Democrats. His point that he would make a poor Republican might be completely true as he does not fall in line and that seems required on their side.

watch this space, as a greater mind than mine often says.

If he is going to claim to be a Democrat, he should conduct himself as one.

* he certainly has a demeanor and professionalism that I'd expect a US Senator to have. Lamb would show respect for the institution and for his constituents... and for himself. Lamb the type of person who would want to be known for his accomplishments rather than his choice of inappropriate attire or having a potty-mouth. Lamb checks all the boxes and definitely possesses many of those good qualities and positive traits.

Were all in for Fetterman, and said that Conor Lamb was a DINO. And Malcolm Kenyatta, while a great progressive, was not going to win, period. Now that he's won a statewide office, he'll have a better chance.

I'm hoping that either Lamb or Kenyatta primary Fetterman. Or maybe Bob Casey will?

I gave up hope of such a thing happening, some time ago. I suggest others do the same---save your optimistic hopes and actions for somebody worthwhile. Fetterman can't even dress himself properly, much less behave like a responsible, effective Democrat.

I wonder if he’s kissing up to trump because he’s afraid her citizenship is going to be stripped and she’ll be deported back to Brazil.
