Sorry if this is stating the blazingly obvious, but My DU > Account Settings. Scroll down to subhead "Visual Appearance." There's a "yes/no" option for showing avatars.

9. Like others, I am seeing some but not all.

There have been a few days when I couldn't see any avatars.

I've been assuming this is an issue with my computer and Chrome browser, which does not display some images when I'm using too much power, or maybe have too many tabs open.

It appears that "standard" image files (.gif, .jpg. etc.) appear okay, but "links" to image files appear as a blank (no image) file. I'm using the Opera browser.
