Apparently not. The vast majority of public discussion of his nomination that I have witnessed is focused on alcohol and/or abusive treatment of women.
I cling to the notion that anybody who is unqualified for a particular job in government should not be offered that job on that basis alone. If they pass a minimum qualification standard then they can still be disqualified on character issues. How it has gone...

(2,638 posts)None of it. All that matters to almost 100 percent of the Republicans in Congress is that Trump wants them to confirm his friend, the guy from his beloved Fox network. And so they will vote to confirm him.
