You know, Ive come on here for years, trolling you people by posting the dumbest sh1t I could come up with and laughing while you agreed with me and sent me PMs out of solidarity. It was a guilty pleasure. Im not proud of it, nor should I be. But, at long last, I will at least admit it.
But seriously, when you conclude that the answer to stopping school shootings is allowing more guns in school, you have reached a level of stupidity that is simply beyond the pale. 20 babies lie dead, their bodies so destroyed that no transport to a hospital was forthcoming. More guns, that is the answer. Congratulations, you have achieved the pinnacle of stupid; you are the ultimate freeper.
Yes, I have trolled here, because I knew that the more I fed the flames of your distorted thinking, the more I was doing to make sure those you support are unelectable. But this.....this is just dangerous.
You fools realize that the answer to decreasing teen sex isnt providing more opportunities for sex. The answer to abortion isnt increasing more opportunities for abortion. The answer to higher taxes isnt more opportunities to tax. Why do you see the answer to gun violence as increasing the opportunities to acquire weapons?
Other than David Koresh, I cant recall anyone using assault weapons to thwart the advances of an aggressive government. Yet, those same weapons, which have demonstrated zero utility to law abiding citizens, have been used to kill thousands of us, and today one killed babies. Those who continue to cheer on such weaponry have divorced themselves from the rational universe. Well done, freepers. At the root of the problem lies you.

(20,897 posts)came on DU and heard about FR; I finally just couldn't take it anymore and outed myself in a thread that bashed John Kerry for his health care proposals, with the usual RW garbage twaddle regarding health care and health insurance. What was really fun about it was that, after I outed myself with about four paragraphs of stick-it-to-'em, they actually kept me on for a couple more hours while they piled on. I stood my ground despite what they were throwing at me and I think we were all kinda having some fun before it was over. I think it takes a special kind of personality to be able to mole, I know that I just couldn't do it. I couldn't take all the bullshit. I kept trying to tell myself it was an acting job and to think of it as a "role" I was playing (I used to get into theater when I was younger), but that didn't really work, either, because I knew it was a lot more serious and real than that, this wasn't just a stage.
I then came on and posted the thread and we all had fun with it. I wish I could still find that thread, but it's disappeared along with all of my other bookmarks from DU2. If someone knows how we can still find all of our bookmarks before the change last year, I'd appreciate knowing.

(961 posts)five years now. I do the same thing SAR did, trolling them for their absolutely derpitudinous replies. Sometimes it gets a bit much. I've often thought about revealing the fact that I'm a Muslim, just to gauge their reactions, which I'm sure would be hateful and frothing at the mouth.
They're fun to troll, though. Even though their whole "MOAR GUNZ" lunacy is starting to grow tiresome, I must confess.

Berlin Expat
(961 posts)sure, and I'm quite sure I've set off someone's troll detector more than once.
I like to do what SAR did, which is push their lunacy even further.....feed the flames as he said. During the '12 GOP Primary season, first I was "for" Cain, then Bachmann, then Newt then Santorum. All the while I trashed Romney, and said, "I'll never vote for Romney". Then when he got nominated, I feigned disgust at the "GOP elite".
But in truth, I wanted Romney to get nominated, because I knew damned well that he would turn off the hardcore RWNJ base of the party, and the Teabaggers in particular, and thus lose to President Obama.
Triangulation, simply put, and it worked.
MrModerate
(9,753 posts)But Romney was the only candidate they had who had a snowball's chance of winning. Perhaps you did manage to increase dislike of Romney among the freepers for which you are to be thanked but an unfortunate side effect was that Romney did run, and came too close to winning for comfort.
All the other 'Lican candidates were loons of the first order, and would have lost by much larger margins, IMO.

He need's how many hundreds of thousands to run that website every year? You've got to be kidding.

(20,897 posts)quietly doing the same thing on here and other liberal sites, just like this OP and others here do on the RW sites; this is why I never automatically believe posters when they give anecdotes and things like that here. Some of them, like the liberals who do it, are really, really good and almost impossible to pick out until and unless they want to be outed. I talked to one of them on a RW site once asking how they did it without losing it, since they had as strong opinions on their side as we do on ours, and he told me that he "pulled a plug" and was able to not get emotional about it, to not get caught up in the emotions. I think people on both sides who are able to do that can be really good at moling.

Here it comes, folks. And our good friend SAR just showed us exactly what theyre going to say and how theyre going to say it.
So when you hear someone like SAR saying this stuff to use it to strip you of your God given and Constitutuonally protected 2nd Amendment rights remember this. SAR hand those like him or her have addresses. They go to work, they go shopping, they go to the bar, they go to the movies. Its simply impossible for them to maintain a security perimeter of any kind indefinitely. Use that.
And remember this, anyone who wants the Government to disarm you wants to do something to you and they dont want you to be able to resist.
Think about that for a minute.
Sleep well SAR. We all have to sleep sometime.

(11,175 posts)I've been there for a few years now. Mainly I find some point on which there's internal disagreement among the Freepers. That gives me the cover to attack at least one RW position.
The primaries were good for that. Under the guise of explaining why the Muslim socialist Kenyan impostor could most likely be beaten by Nutjob Candidate A, you could criticize Nutjob Candidates B and C. And, of course, Romney was a free-fire zone until he clinched the nomination.
One other tip: Keep your posts short. The average post length over there is about ten words. To adduce facts and explain reasoning in support of your position would probably mark you as a troll. Just pronounce your opinion, in extreme terms (NO nuance please), and move on.

(172 posts)It is never worth it to me to attempt to post beliefs that are not of my own. I enjoy saying what I actually believe and receiving the opinions of the beliefs of others. This is why I believe and have stated that the 2nd Amendment as written by the founders is fundamental to having we the masses retain power, instead of us being turned into serfs with plows and shovels by the elite.
Unless one uses a diffuse proxy service such as Tor, most posters don't grasp the loss of privacy significance of Facebook. It is truly a Trojan horse. Anyone that belongs to and posts on FB essentially connects their location and IP address to a real name and to a life history, and thus provides insiders and corporations, and your boss, etc potentially with a public internet reverse phone book. The obvious purpose of FB was to connect names and postings and activity of IP addresses which can then be available for cross referenced between interested users and site owners.
I don't belong to FB and never will because I believe anonymity just as the 2nd Amendment and secret ballot is a major gog in the wheel that supports and retains our democracy. Anonymity of political beliefs is our right.

(617 posts)See I was a Republican until 2000. As a matter of fact - my entire family except myself are Republicans. I grew up hearing stories about Clinton and how much of an ass he was. My father studied for the bar with him and HATED him. Still does.
I attended Reagan's campaign speech here in AR when I was a boy. I attended Bush Sr.'s inauguration in Washington D.C. as a guest of my father's friend John Paul Hammerschmidt. I watched it from some reception room in the Capitol building sitting next to Senator Paul Simon as he groaned and bitched.
I shook Bush Jr.'s hand in Austin when he appointed my father's friend to Railroad Commissioner of that state...and I can assure you that the rumors of his handshake are quite true. He stared at me like I was some kind of freak. I'll never forget that.
So why did I switch? Two things - one, they no longer seemed to be the party of fiscal responsibility and I knew - I knew that when they nominated that freak in 1999, that things were not right and that I had been very, very wrong. The years proved me right, of course. He was the worst president we have ever had.
Then I got married in 2004. My then wife was diagnosed with Bipolar II and rapidly fell apart. We could not afford psychiatrists bills at the time as we were on one income as she tried desperately to finish her schooling. And all the while, I saw how the Republicans pissed on the common man. Pissed on people's health and claimed patriotism and national unity against the terrorists. Meanwhile, my wife suffered - and in the end, without treatment, we made the decision to get a divorce so that she could go to Massachusetts, live with a friend, and get the help she needed. With us being married, they would have denied her coverage.
By then, her condition over the years, without the treatment she needed, had eroded our relationship so badly that there was no going back.
So you see, I hate them. I'll hate them until the day I die. I can also think, act, and talk like them. Wooo - this should be good fun. I'm going to Zartan them. I wonder what I will do?
