I predict the military will remove Trump.

Not that that's a good thing for America, but it may become a necessary thing when the real shit starts.

Just a hunch.

I still wonder about the Butler PA assassination attempt. Why would a right winger try to kill Trump? Sat Jan 25, 2025, 06:26 PM
Jan 2025

Just one example:

SCOTUS affirms 'foetal personhood' nationwide, thus banning almost all (or even ALL) abortions in all 50 States plus DC, etc.

Multiple Blue States refuse to comply.

Trump sends in US troops, and authorises kinetic force to bring the Blue States to heel. The Blue States resist with their own kinetic force. Thousands (tens of thousands perhaps) die, and multiple secessionist movements surge to life nationwide.

OR

IF Trump does not send in US troops, IF he refuses to force compliance, the the Red States will very likely start ignoring the federal laws THEY disagree with, possible with deadly consequences for thousands of Red State citizens.

Either way, chaos ensues, and a runaway Supreme Court could likely make other (as they have now crossed the Rubicon) insane decisions.

any and all states and/or other entities (or a myriad of individuals) that refuse to submit to said dictatorship on anything that said dictatorship demands and/or does?

Are there no red lines for you?

There ARE situations, unfortunately, that only a military coup d'état can put paid to, once the end of string of Constitutional laws and regualr order is reached. At that point, only extra-Constitutional actions can save the day.

They've spent years refusing to fill vacancies at the Pentagon for the sole purpose of packing military leadership with Trump supporters. I really want to be wrong, but I don't see any pushback from the military coming to save us.

Trump is beating the war drums in earnest. He either actually wants to invade Canada and Greenland for the natural resources, or else he wants the world to think he will. Military contractors are going to be awash in taxpayer money.

Like I said, I really want to be wrong.

48. A Counter Operation
Sat Jan 25, 2025, 07:58 PM
Jan 2025

If Trump continues to act illegally and violates the Constitution, we may have a legal and moral right to remove him. He would be a Dictator not a President. Our main hope for a Counter Operation is that there are a significant number of soldiers and law enforcement that are loyal to the Constitution and not to the Dictator Trump. We have a right to self defense and to defend the Constitution.

Also Blue State Governors and Mayor's may order State Police and Local Cops to resist. They also command their States National Guard. We have like what, at least 20 states under Democratic control? That is not nothing, especially if we can get a large resistance against the Dictator Trump within in the federal military and law enforcement. Which really should be the main plan.

That should be the basic plan. I tried to post this idea for a counter operation idea last year before Trump got elected but was mocked and called unrealistic. Well reality is here. We should have acted sooner but there still might be time to stop them.

As a general rule, when a decaying empire has had an authoritarian take the reins of power, it is a matter of time until a military coup. It usually isn't led by a top general -- that is more common in non-empires falling apart -- but by a younger general.

It can happen here, of course. But we still have a period of time for citizens to take steps that encourage elected officials at the state and federal level to take bold actions. It will be one of these two options.

57. Blue State Alliance
Sat Jan 25, 2025, 08:14 PM
Jan 2025

One way to Resist-

Since Trump seems hell bent on destroying the Federal Government, I believe that State Governments should step in to protect our citizens. I have proposed what I called a Blue State Alliance. After the Federal Government, the biggest Government in the Country is the California State Government. A close second is the New York State Government. Both are controlled by Democratic Governors and both their Legislatures are completely controlled by Democrats. This is important. An Alliance between the Blue States could be formidable and could compensate us for the cuts that Trump is making to the Federal Government.

The following States have Democratic Governors- Arizona, California. Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Washington, and Wisconsin. Add to that all of the major cities that have Blue Mayors and you are dealing with a lot of potential power.

A Blue State Alliance could almost be an inter-state treaty organization where these states pledge to assist one another to provide for the rights, security, health, prosperity, and well-being of their citizens. We might even be able to convene some sort of Convention to hash out the Alliance, sort of like the Constitutional Convention of 1787. We might be able to develop a new form of Democratic Government.

That's never going to happen. The number of people willing to cross that line in the military is vastly outnumbered by those who won't. No general is going to be able to cobble together enough manpower to pull it off. The rightward lean in the military is the highest among senior enlisted and junior officers. NCO's are the backbone of the US military and they lean heavily right. Combat MOS's also lean heavily right. Neither are just going to go along with a military coup. Your chances of pulling off a coup with a bunch of geriatric flag officers and personnel mainly from non-combat units is pretty slim.
