FORT WORTH, Texas (WKRC) - A substitute teacher asked ICE to raid his school in a post to social media. According to KDFW, Forth Worth Independent School District (Fort Worth ISD) has launched a probe after a substitute teacher replied to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) post on X, asking the agency to visit a high school in Texas and remove students believed to be in the country illegally.

The outlet reported that the probe was launched Friday, when school officials became aware of the post.

The X post from the substitute teacher, who was not named in the report, reads as follows:

"Y'all should come to Fort Worth, TX to Northside High School. I have many students who don't even speak English, and they are in 10th-11th grade. They have to communicate through their iPhone translator with me. The @USEDGOV should totally overhaul our school system in Texas."

Forth Worth ISD interim superintendent Karen Molinar issued a statement obtained by KDFW, telling families that the matter was under investigation and that the district was "taking this situation very seriously and are committed to resolving it as quickly as possible."

In most any state we could name.
If that sub was qualified for a full-time gig, they'd probably have one.
I'm a sub, and 90% of the subs I know do not have the credentials to be a certified teacher.
Geez, I have 5 college degrees & I couldn't be certified. (Not that I want a full-time assignment.)
That sub is probably more much more like Mr than what you're describing.

I did a class which was a transitional ESL math thing.
Some of the students were fully bilingual. Some barely could speak English.
I got the feeling some of the fluent bilingual kids were in that class to help those with lesser English skills. They clearly could have been in regular math classes.
Anyway, since numbers are numbers I could still help some. But, I didn't feel like I could help enough. I wouldn't take that class again. Not because of their lack of English skills, but because of my lack of Spanish skills.
