Price of Eggs - Updated 2.1.25

Last edited Sat Feb 1, 2025, 12:35 PM - Edit history (1)

Since the price of eggs was a major factor in re-electing the felon (not that a complete lack of understanding of inflation or what drives it and a complete lack of curiosity to learn new things was a factor), I plan on tracking the price of eggs at my local SW PA grocery store.

We buy 18 eggs at a time - I make my own English Muffins and love egg sandwiches. Plus I've come to enjoy Dutch Babies and make those at least once a month. In short, we eat eggs in this house and will be buying them with frequency.

I'll update this with each new purchase.

January 23 - $7.99
February 1 - $8.29

Three of them were double yolk. That makes six meals for me, a dozen jumbo eggs. So it works out to a dollar meal, that’s that’s less than I pay for fruit and stuff

Now the coverage of egg prices is lead into with Bird Flu, before it was just being reported as part of Biden's Inflation. The bird flu has been a problem for years now.

Of course, the retort we should use is "how can we address this with the shutdown of the NIH?"

It's a goddamn full time time with weekends to keep up with these assholes.

I am heartened that DUers have most realized the media works for the billionaire class who picked Trump to be our President. Knowing how full of shit they are is step 1.

It seems everyone but me eats them all the time. Am I missing out?
