WE NEED NON-MAGA WHITE MEN TO PROTEST EN MASSE AS NEVER BEFORE!

Yes, I'm screaming. I'm typing through rage tears as I've done so many times over the decades trying to wake people up to the violent white supremacy coalescing. Yes I often roll my eyes when people post these pleas in a subject line, screaming into the void.

But I am begging people to listen because I think this is a good idea.

I have a proposal as something TO DO in the face of this obvious violence. The presser Trump just gave was full on white supremacist Nazi messaging. When they say "DEI" they really mean the N-word and I expect Trump to say it any day now.

MAGA is about fascistic white (Christian, straight) male supremacy. Wealthy white male supremacy. Trump & Co. believe most white men support what they're doing, even those they consider rubes because they're poor.

I thought about it and, while certainly white men have always had a presence in protests throughout the decades, most of the ones in recent memory have been led by women and POC, primarily Black women.

I think it would actually be jarring to Trump to see mass protests of primarily white men. I'd like to see them joined by veterans, and the families of both military and LEO. But to have a showing of white men to step up like we've never seen before could shake up MAGA in general. Plus, if he does send in troops to arrest protesters, they'd be arresting their loved ones if the family idea is included.

Maybe that could be the start of some of the less cultist MAGA, the apathetic and other contingents to join us, and then the protests done in solidarity of everyone against fascism and the overt class war could happen more consistently and in earnest and carry more weight. And maybe, just maybe we could work toward that general strike that is effective in other countries.

But, white men, WE NEED Y'ALL TO DO SOMETHING BECAUSE YOU'RE IN THE LEAST AMOUNT OF DIRECT DANGER FROM THE NAZIS. A show of force of white men against white male supremacist violence is needed desperately now.

You won't be accused of co-opting anything because you'd be leading it. You're kind of the whole point. You need to be the literal face of a widespread protest against MAGA/Nazi violence taking hold hour by hour.

Please someone hear this plea. Thom Hartmann? VoteVets? Anyone?

EDIT TO ADD: We also need Obama, Buttigieg, AOC, Jasmine Crockett and Tim Walz (probably others I can't think of right now) to have a town hall or something to vocally push back on the violence taking place and light a fire under other Dems in office and perhaps journalists and other people of influence. Because MAGA absolutely, positively plans to oppress and enslave, at best, anyone who isn't a white supremacist loyalist. Bet.

THIS IS NOT A DRILL.

I fully expect the arrest or "disappearing" of journalists and other "influencers" MAGA loathes any day now.

I'm not a white male. The WM friends I've mentioned this to all seem to have an excuse as to why they shouldn't do it. Or they ask how to do it. My suggestion is to find other white men to help organize it because, we women know that our suggestions are shot down left and right. lololol But for real.

I really feel the VoteVets group could be the way to go. I wish I could reach them. I'll try tagging them on various platforms and link to post.

Gawd, that's so disheartening. I have to admit that I've been focused on white people showing up for decades that it is only in the face of this undeniable white supremacist regime that the thought of white men showing up en masse came to me. I certainly have never seen that for any progressive protest; they are there in a supporting role, which has been appropriate.

But I really feel it would shake MAGA to see a huge group of white men protesting -- not carrying MAGA and Nazi flags -- though it's highly, highly unlikely that enough will show an interest. When I was first hashing it out with white so-called progressive male friends, they had every excuse in the book as to why it couldn't happen. They mainly felt I was being divisive by even making the request. lololol

Oh well, everyone is ranting and raving about WHAT CAN WE DO????!!!!! so I thought about it and that's what I came up with. I tagged all the White Dudes for Kamala organizers on bluesky. Let's see if any respond at all. I'm a nobody so I doubt it.

I was 56 back in 2020 and I still had a functioning left knee. I didn't see another white man over 40.

13. Feels quixotic now, but it felt like real change was afoot then.

The change wound up being smaller scale: after requiring everyone to undergo Anti-Racism Training (actually my 2nd time), my firm set up a DEI program called JEDI (Justice Equity Diversity & Inclusion) that's transformed us. We've hired kids from all over the US, from all ethnic backgrounds and a raft of foreign countries. We're far better for it.

DEI till I die.
