Confirmation hearings used to be fun to watch, believe it or not. Maybe not "fun", depending on the circumstances and context, but they were safe and civilized enough that any American could watch them and not feel personally attacked by either the nominee or the political party that the nominee belongs to. They have become poison. I made it through an hour or so of Tulsi but couldn't take more than 15 minutes of Patel. Patel is a little piss-ant prima donna.
