(8,391 posts)Has, as far as I know, no authority over any part of the Federal Government. The "Fork" email that we all got? What is the legal authority for that? How can a Federal employee go on 7 months of admin leave? There's no authority for that! The FAQ section says if you take the offer you can get another job while you're on admin leave, but that violates the ethics rules. Many questions with no answers.
Going back to my original point, Elon has no authority. He's unelected, and unappointed to any part of the Government that I'm aware of...but he's sure acting like he's in charge. Congress and the press, do your jobs!

(65,979 posts)he's happy to make moronic statements, sign bills he knows nothing about and collect money from tech bro morons.
he then tells eloon to do what he pleases and we'll make it happen.
eloon, it's been reported, has already installed one of his tech bro assholes at the FBI to "oversee" things. whatever that means.

(8,177 posts)Chris Hayes says extreme competition for our attention is making it less likely that we can process events. We are in the middle of a coup and don't have time to sit for 30 mins to hear the point.
DUers can really help each other by summarizing the best points in these videos. Let's do it as a team.
Thanks.

(65,538 posts)If a President can't be sued while in office, then why should he/she of all people be allowed to sue anyone while in office?
Talking about "unequal justice" violating the 14th Amendment, and suing the press to stifle the 1st Amendment.
It's disgraceful and should be un-Constitutional.
Thanks for the thread Donkees
Kick in to the DU tip jar?

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
