A medical expert recently sent the Los Angeles Times a blistering editorial condemning the nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lead the Health and Human Services Department -- and now he's claiming that the paper changed it to give it a pro-Trump spin.
Eric Reinhart, an anthropologist, psychoanalyst and psychiatry resident at Northwestern University, came out swinging after the paper ran what was supposed to have been his anti-RFK Jr. editorial with the headline "Trumps healthcare disruption could pay off if he pushes real reform."
Writing on X, Reinhart directly called out billionaire LA Times owner Patrick Soon-Shiong, who promoted the editorial on the same platform using what Reinhart said was blatantly misleading framing.

(11,133 posts)It belongs on the pile with the Washington Post, the New York TImes, the Chicago Tribune and dozens of others.
Newspapers died decades ago, but their media footprint and influence remains. Its time for that to end.
The internet is still available as a tool for getting the truth out there, even if steps are constantly underway to reduce or capture that too.
Journalism was once (and should be in the future) an honorable trade and essential service to society. As it is now, captive and slave to ownership, bullshit and propaganda at the highest, most famous levels, it is worth less than the piss my cats stink up their liter box with....at least the cat piss serves a purpose in keeping them alive and giving me the companionship and love they do...the press? Fuck them, cowards and influence seekers. I have nothing but total disdain for them all.
Think. Again.
