I will not see America advance again in my life

I am 70, I see Trump setting us back at least a decade in the next 4 years. If we are lucky, we might undo the damage over the following decade, and only if we get and retain power. But that is just recovering. Not progress from where we should and could be. We still haven't recovered from the Bush and Trump tax cuts for the rich, among other GOP catastrophes.
Its one step forward two steps back. I doubt I will live long enough to see America advance.
