Sen. Susan Collins (R, Maine) tweets to Trump about his plan to issue tarriffs on Maine...........

Every once in a blue moon, Collins votes with Dems, but for the most part she bends her knees to Trumpy.

Sen. Susan Collins @SenatorCollins
The Maine economy is integrated with Canada, our most important trading partner. Certain tariffs will impose a significant burden on many families, manufacturers, the forest products industry, small businesses, lobstermen, and agricultural producers.

For example, 95 percent of the heating oil used by most Mainers to heat their homes comes from refineries in Canada. The Air National Guard Base in Bangor depends completely on jet fuel and diesel from Canada. From fisheries to potato farmers to paper mills, these tariffs will have a significant impact on Maine’s economy and risk increasing costs for our residents.

I am working with the Trump Administration to help its officials better understand the potential ramifications of certain tariffs on Maine and to find out more about their implementation, scope, duration, and other important information, including any exemptions they may make for northern border states, certain industries, agricultural producers, and others who rely on trade with Canada.

You had your chance to get rid of this rat bastard forever during his first impeachment. He would have even been replaced by a relatively decent (by Repug standards) man.

Now, however, even if he ceased to exist -- a four engine flame out of Air Force One in the middle of the ocean, veggie state caused by one of his slices bouncing of a tree and smacking into his head, choking on a KFC chicken wing -- we're stuck with Mini-Evil and his eyeliner (imagine Alice Cooper as prez).

So fly back to your constituents, Sue, and explain why you didn't cut this piece of crap off at the knees when you had not one, but two opportunities to do so.

35. My confession...
Sat Feb 1, 2025, 01:31 PM
Feb 2025

I have a very snarky side. I posted here a while ago about an ex-friend who felt obligated to send me a message via a forum site that “Trump is in” when he won the election. We had parted ways when I found out she was a MAGAt. She had told me “Good luck being poor when Biden raises gas prices”—which is stupid in many ways, including the fact that when she said it, Biden had dropped out.

She lives in Maine.

I confess that I am loving this for the very petty reason that her gas prices retort is hopefully going to come back and bite her in the ass. (Yeah, I know, she will blame it on Biden…)

End of confession.

or maybe it's a law - you can't say Susan Collins without using the word "concern?"

"...and risk increasing costs for our residents." I don't think this is a risk, I think it's a surety. But why is she only now working to help officials understand? Little late, ain't it?

Your concern is no longer valued by anyone, least of all Trump and his stooges. They won't consider anything unlesss it is preceded by a large unconditional "donation" to him. But save your money and concern. Trump hasn't forgotten your impeachment vote. He is looking forward to punishing Maine and your constituents.
