Trump and his allies are dismantling America

On every one of the last 11 days, Trump has shattered another piece of our government, our Constitution and our way of life.

Many believe he's doing this because he's crazy. Yes, he's crazy, but what we're seeing happen is the implementation of Project 2025, the blueprint for a fascist takeover of America.

Trump is ignoring congress, the courts and public opinion because he, and those behind him, don't give a damn about rules, or norms. Step One of their plan is to destroy the existing government. And they intend to replace it with their own authoritarian regime.

Many know what's going on and oppose it. But with spineless elected Republicans falling into line, (out of fear or true belief), how can this hostile takeover be stopped? The Democrats, have no power or megaphone. They are helpless. And we the public? Exactly what's to be done when our enemies control all the levers of power.

IMO, we will end up in either a "neighbor-vs-neighbor Civil War," or as slaves to the oligarchs and the "Dear Leader," along with those who planned it all.

Sorry to be so negative, but this is where we are. It sucks, but it's our new reality.

Disagree with me all you want, but point out where I'm wrong or misguided. And if you have a solution or a road that takes us out of this reign of destruction and terror, let's hear it.

Future historians and archaeologists puzzling over what they see and learn.

The single most important democracy in the history of the world, flips to fascism over night.
And they also see a small percentage of the population living like Kings, the rest scrambling to survive.

I would rather not be associated with the group of humans which destroyed the greatest democracy in the
history of the planet, and contributed to life ending on the planet.

I agree that there must be life on other planets somewhere.
But if they are all like humans they destroy themselves quickly.
Earth is 4.5 billion years old. How many times have humans destroyed themselves and
come back to do it over and over again?

Yes. This would explain the Fermi paradox.

Her response was: "I'd ask them how they did it."

"How they survived their adolescence."

It seems we're well into the race between maturing as a species, or totally destroying ourselves. Too bad evolution works so slowly.

The earth is 4.5 billion years old.
Humans only appeared 2-6 million years ago.
Modern humans only 200,000 years ago.

Besides, theoretical physicists think time is relative to where
you are sitting in space and how fast you are going.

I don't think this is the first time earthlings have blown themselves up.

Town halls to explain to everyone what Project 2025 will do to them. We need a movement, but it needs to happen now before Trump/Musk outlaw town halls.

There will be no whistleblowers in government, Musk will monitor their communications. This government will be so secretive so that the truth never comes out.

Anyone criticizing threads like this as doom and gloom are pushing right wing talking points. Don't worry, be happy.

First, they’ll deny that bodies are piling up, and question the citizenry’s patriotism that they would trust their lying eyes over the words of Dear Leader.

Then, they’ll admit there may be *some* bodies in the streets, but it couldn’t be helped and it’s not nearly as bad as those traitorous agitators would have you believe.

Finally, they’ll not only acknowledge the bodies in the streets but say the bodies number in the MILLIONS, not thousands or even tens of thousands - and its all the fault of *fill in the marginalized group*, whom we must now destroy to protect ourselves.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

Refuse to move ahead with confirmation hearings.

Too many are still doing politics as usual. That’s part of why we’re here, at risk of complete dissolution of our democracy, as many of them warned while campaigning!

I hope they come out in unison swinging after electing a new DNC chair but they haven’t given me much to have such hope.

Trump & Co. can completely ignore the Democrats and the entire congress. And when he does, the only counter action is to bring lawsuits which take time to play out. TIME TO PLAY OUT. Time is our enemy and their friend. It's why they are moving so quickly.

When/If any lawsuit comes to fruition, we all might well have yokes around our necks. Project 2025 calls for a 180 day conclusion to the transformation of government. America can be enslaved before any judge can get his/her pants on.

I've slowly come to the conclusion that people, including those in positions of power, aren't nearly as intelligent as I've always thought. Not many think of the long game. For the wealthiest and most power hungry, I don't think of the things you just mentioned. They just want to rape and pillage NOW.

I think we can look to Russia for this and how the oligarchs have fared v the citizens. I know our societies didn't start off in the same place when the oligarchy took hold but there will likely be similarities.

I wonder about those saying "stop with the doom and gloom", lately. Really? What part of what is going on is not doom and gloom. It is worse than doom and gloom - it is a full blown dystopian nightmare. It is a take over. It is a coup.

Why the hell has no one figured out a way to stop it. The grifter is committing crimes. Musk is committing crimes. And i believe they engaged in election rigging to get there.

So Cyrano - you are not misguided. You were understated, if anything.

I'm not trying to depress people. I'm outlining where we are and where we are seemingly headed. They've been planning this coup for a long time and we're just now getting into the game. You can't battle them if you don't know what you're fighting.

China had the Cultural Revolution that cleaned out government and installed no-nothings in positions of authority. One result was the starvation of the country. The ag. director knew nothing about agriculture, just scaring people. Doctors were replaced with store clerks so lots of people died. The social order was destroyed.

Then there was Hitler's murderous redesign of German society.

Most people will be subdued with fear so what to do if we will not be subdued? Trying to figure that out.
