As disgusted as I am with elected Democrats who aren't speaking out . . .

Last edited Sun Feb 2, 2025, 10:49 PM - Edit history (1)

. . . I am even more disgusted by those who make excuses for them. One common retort that I find particularly galling is, "Well, what do you expect them to do?"

Look, I fully get the numbers problem we have in both houses of Congress. But even if the only tool we have left is the voices of our elected Democratic senators and representatives, I damned well expect them to use it, making as much noise as they possibly can, because their silence is tantamount to complicity!

Not only them but where are our scholars, religious leaders?

Why are they all silent?

I’m really hoping Ken Martin, the new DNC Chair, calls Trump out just like he promised.

Also where are all the muckraking journalists? Podcasters?

Where is the outrage? Are we so content to play games on our iPhones while America burns?

So many Americans have never experienced hard times. I’m talking about bank failures, no gasoline not high prices. How many of our adult children and grandchildren eat the majority of their meals outside the home?

Time to dust off those old hard times recipes. Time to learn how to sew, knit and crochet.

Time to make a backyard garden and raise some chickens.

Shut down both houses. Start getting the word out to constituents to call and email their reps and senators every single day depending on Trump's chaos-de-jour. Work with blue state governors.

Sue Musk. Class action - he has no business being in charge of the treasury payment system. He wasn't elected, nor was he confirmed and what he is doing is illegal.

Start playing for keeps, playing hardball, kicking them in in the nuts.

And for God's sake STOP BEING NICE. Take no prisoners. No bullshit about 'working across the aisle.' They obstructed everything for too long and now we need to be the loyal opposition.

BE LOYAL TO US AND THE REPUBLIC NOT TO THE INSTITUTIONS OF HOUSE AND SENATE.

That is what I want them to do.

Ffs, take a goddamn minute to look at what our elected officials are saying.

No one should have to take people here by the hand and lead them to them. And no one should post bullshit like this about Dems not speaking out who hasn't bothered to post anything Democrats are saying.

It's an absurd and ridiculous claim, on it's face, and people here should know better. Hell, you can't get more than a handful of replies when things Dems are saying are posted. Then this shit pops up.

What a goddamn sham.

About this event
This week, the Trump administration issued a directive that could cut off federal funding for programs like Medicaid, SNAP, school lunches, and others that working families rely on. All so they can pass more tax cuts for billionaires. A federal judge stopped them for now, but they've made it clear they're going to keep trying to slash these critical programs.

We're telling Republicans in Congress no cuts for working families and no more tax cuts for billionaires - sign up to make calls to voters in Republican districts and ask them to reach out to their Member of Congress!

👥 No experience? No problem! We’ll provide a quick training and a script—you just need a phone, a laptop, and the will to make an impact.

I am an over 60 year old, white straight male. A demographic that went overwhelmingly for the Shitstain.

What do we hear from that group? Male Dems are Beta bitches! Pure projection on their part, so nice ain’t working, they need to be called out for being scared, ignorant Beta bitches.

Now my terminology might offend some, fair enough, but it sure as hell offends them more and bluntly, that is the only thing that gets through to them.

So again, everyone, assess the situation and if someone offends you by smack talking, you can continue to lose.

Because you know what I hear from some liberal older white males, some are taking the approach of screw it, not my fight. So you end up with more
pissed of allies and more empowered ignorant little Beta bitch Repuke males.

I am so disappointed that there are so many Dem votes for these disgusting cabinet nominees in the Senate. There should be absolutely NO going along to get along. If they go along, then they are condoning what this Administration is doing to this country. They should be voting against every single one of them, then gathering in the hall to each take the mic and tell why in their own words. Wear the news correspondents out!

Why isn't every Democratic politician having a fit right now? Media won't cover it? Say outrageous things. THAT gets coverage.

Mitch McConnell blocked the Democratic majority in the senate every chance he got. Why isn't Chuck Schumer doing the same? He put more effort into getting rid of Al Franken over nothing than he's putting into fighting a literal attack on the Constitution.

Where's the junior senator from Pennsylvania? I've defended him over and over here for making controversial statements, but now suddenly it's all crickets. He knows how to get attention.

What the actual fuck is going on with Democratic senators approving these insane criminal fools Trump is nominating?! This isn't 1977 anymore. The Republicans aren't sharing.

I'm incredibly disappointed.
