Just remembering a little poodle dog we used to have. We were in love with that dog. He was chasing a tomcat through the backyard. Suddenly the tomcat stopped and turned around, poodle suddenly stopped and it was like well shit this is no fun, cat is not scared of me. I was remembering that. Poodle just went back inside the house. Are they chasing us because we are running. Will they know what to do if we quit running. Dont drag him through the courts, he knows how to handle that

(485 posts)One of our first cats was a very young un-neutered adult when we adopted him. Of course we got him neutered, but he hated all white cats and all dogs who came into our front yard off leash. He was not afraid of any dog. He was a scrapper, fighter, and had a cauliflower ear to prove it. He chased all dogs and white cats out of our yard. We kept him inside at night, he guarded the yard during the day. Lived to 18 years. For the past 20 years all our cats live in doors, but you are right we have to take a stand and not run away from the bully, even if it appears to be a poodle.
