What in the hell good is legislation going to do? Isn't this already illegal??

Congress must immediately act.

That is why Rep. Jeffries and I will work together on legislation to stop unlawful meddling in the Treasury Department’s payment systems.

Enforcement has been taken prisoner. that is it.

A glimer of say logical hope is that pressure is deeply applied to republicans in Congress to actually do their job.... they can stop this..

It’s why I’ve told people to call them and threatening a General Strike to halt economic progress in the US is not a bad thing to threaten IF THEY DON’T PUT A STOP TO THIS.

Think. Again.

...and I don't mean relying on street protests, I mean General Strikes, Economic Boycotts, and any other disruptive actions we can think of THAT DON'T EXPOSE US TO AUTHORITARIAN VIOLENCE.

Economic boycotts are simple and doable. We need to set up the longest feasible time to simply STOP SPENDING MONEY on anything. Big box stores close the day—many days in a row—with sales down 80% (have to allow for MAGAts continuing to spend). That could really hurt. Buy necessary things at Democrat-owned small businesses. That sort of thing.

Nor do so many Dems in social media screaming “But that’s illegal!”

Laws and rules mean nothing to fascists. They laugh.

The mantra that “we’re a nation of law and order” (which is largely aspirational because it has never been applied equitably), has almost brainwashed people and they can’t process what is happening. They have no idea what to do.

It’s all maddening to watch, as much as knowing it could and should have been prevented.

Fascists don't follow the laws, rules, or court orders.
The laws are used to protect them and control and punish everyone else.

12. Yes it is against the law. But laws are not applied equally in our Just Us system.

It astounded me to actual see how corrupt our political system really is. While republicans are using the system both political parties have kept in place I think both are to blame. What good are laws and agencies to help Americans and keep safeguards in place if those things can be can be changed and overturned by the other side every 4 years? How many years did they chip away at the ACA with bipartisan help from some democrats to the point where it's really a shadow of what Obama gave us? Five fucking republicans were able to take away health care and control of their bodies from women with one fucking act.

I am not saying Democrats do that because they don't, but they don't stop these things when they can, they just won't change the rules like republicans do. Republicans will change the rules no matter how they have to do it. Republicans have no empathy, no decency and they would sooner see people die than help people in need, and Democrats seem to think that they can come to an agreement with the "gentleman from the other side of the aisle" . Bipartisanship if going to end us all. Leadership needs to put a stop to it.
