Congress needs to gum up the works as best they can, but that's alone is not nearly enough. Just as musk just waltzed in, Donnie can give his people jobs by simply ignoring Congress.
And musk controls the payment system, so they can draw a salary. Or more. All without congress. Illegal? Sure. But who's gonna stop them?
It's probably too late, but we have to be on an all-hands crisis mode opposition to fascist government footing, 24/7/365 until we can force him out.

It is entirely appropriate - it is essential - that we hold our allies to a higher standard than we do our enemies. We don't hold arsonists and fire fighters to the same standards. We expect more from fire fighters, and when they fail to answer the bell we don't blame the arsonists.

But hey, we can continue down the path and push more into the loving arms of Joe Rogan, Stephan A. Smith, That gummy faced mfer, and others. But oh, we can be so fucking pure while we spend the rest of our lives bitching about the use of the word ball.
For another win, us old white guys can sit back and slam AOC for being too progressive.

Thank you for your most enlightening post. It is important to know how verry little women's concerns are valued by some. Indeed, so little valued that some even claim that THEY are offended because the language is being called out. Sadly, this is not a new thing.

(21,641 posts)99-0 is nothing to joke about, even Bernie went along. Armchair quarterbacking is an easy job, but being a Senator is a lot different. Maybe they got along with Rubio and viewed him as empathetic, which is what Duckworth said.
You may have been a Yes and don't even know it if you were a Senator.
OK. So getting along with their pal Rubio is more important than we are? I fear you are right. Do you think you are defending them with that remark? Wow.
"Armchair quarterbacking is an easy job, but being a Senator is a lot different." This is comedy gold. The exact opposite is true. It is much, much easier being a Senator than almost anything else in the world. Try being a farm worker in this climate.
I agree that 99-0 is nothing to joke about. It is something to cry about, though.

Sarcasm, in case that actually needs to be said.
It blows my mind that leadership is apparently so damn afraid of AOC, progressivism, and passing the baton to the younger generation of the party that they'd rather have a rapidly dying man with fucking esophageal cancer on the oversight committee, twiddling his thumbs as the country plunges into a fascist hellhole.

This is what I mean when I say our Electeds in DC need to bypass the media. The media (RS) is now covering the social media as they do the MagaPublicans.
YouTube, Instagram Live, videos on their pages. . . this is how you get the message out whether you agree with the content or not.

By your logic, you have to be a man to show bravery. Men have balls. Females do not.

These morons in the Senate are voting themselves out of existence. Trump claims Canada doesn't exist. The fact is that a functioning Senate no longer exists.
I'm going to be anxious to see if my post gets removed for speaking plain truth about the people that are actively killing off the United States of America that we all grew up in and even believed in.

and posture for the base without trying to expand it, then call it a day.
MAGA Republicans did not just preach to the choir, but went outside of their bubble by going on Jim Rogan, street corners with MAGA kiosks, and speaking at school boards against CRT to grow their base.
In contrast, AOC and a lot of Democrats just preach to a smaller and smaller choir by blaming Democrats.

(2,003 posts)detail. So I'll just make this quick.
This isn't a matter of "posturing for" or "expanding the base." What are you even talking about this for? The election is fucking over and that shit is completely irrelevant to the situation we are facing (and may not ever be relevant again, the way things are going). We're under a fascist government now, in case you haven't noticed. And she isn't "blaming Democrats" for the current state of affairs, she's calling on them to be louder and more aggressive, like most of us on this site have been. Which--to their credit--more and more Dems are doing.
And I'm sick of this "MAGA didn't speak to the choir, they went out and appealed to everyone!" BS the MSM was pushing. They did NOT appeal to everyone, they appealed to idiots. Joe Rogan might be popular, but he is very much part of the "bubble" much of American culture is in. Frankly, many American voters are outright stupid and/or completely uninformed, looking for simple solutions to complex problems. Republicans (especially modern Republicans) speak stupid a hell of a lot better than Democrats do, and like all authoritarians, offered them the simplicity they crave, couched in lies. That's all there is to it.
Like the previous poster said, your post really does come off as trolling.

(26,463 posts)So we can fight a fascist take over and further diminish sexist language.
Sexist language, like racist language is a social construction that lowers, or dismisses various peoples personhood. Because it is language, and often frequent it's a ubiquitous type of put down that's all around us. Like the air we breath.
It's important to point out.
