I have seen on cable or broadcast news since the election. And you don't have to take my word for it. His first guest, Norm Ornstein, who many of you are familiar with, complimented Lawrence after his excellent introduction. He said that it was the best he had ever heard.
If you get a chance, watch it online. I won't try to summarize it here, except to say that it was about what is happening at Treasury, and downplayed the whole tariff show yesterday as a distraction.
I find that journalistically Lawrence and his staff are head and shoulders above other programs. They never follow the narrative of the rest of the press and chart their own course. They drill down on what is really important from the days' events.
That is so important right now when the zone is being flooded with BS every second of every day.
Oh, and he will continue to receive my support for calling out the white house press corps almost daily on their obvious and craven double standard!

(113,973 posts)I do think people evolve and mature over time so I'm guessing that may have been part of the issue decades ago between the two.
But, O'Donnell is doing excellent work IMO.

(113,973 posts)LO made the move on his staff and timeslot... Several of KO's senior producers did indeed go over to help O'Donnell (and supposedly later regretted it). So, that sounds pretty awful, but I don't know O'Donnell's side of the story.

(7,667 posts)Too much is at stake. We need to think like Charles de Gaulle: "Graveyards is full of indispensable men." We're in a war with repukes. I wish I could tell KO that. Maybe one of his assistants will read this.

(15,388 posts)Type into your browser msnbc.com. When it comes up, you'll see three horizontal stacked lines near the top right. Click on it. Individual photos of all the MSNBC shows will appear. Scroll down a little and you'll see The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell. Click on it and watch the entire show.
You can follow this same procedure to watch any MSNBC show that you missed.

Got to admit
..I would much rather watch Laurence than Rachel
.
IF I had to chose only one to watch.

(24,978 posts)They are both so far superior to the daytime hosts (Tur, Mitchell, Jansing) that it's almost embarrassing.

(1,279 posts)Since I turned off MSNBC Lawrence is the only show I habitually listen to each morning during my walk. I always learn something without the hysteria.
