My adult child went to pick up a prescription and no paperwork was included

No side effect info, how to take, etc

Is this part of the new CDC blackout or an error with the pharmacy?

1. I get asked every time I pick up a scrip: "do you want the paperwork?"

if it's a renewal, I say no.

it could be an error by your adult child. it could be an error by your pharmacy.

it is not "the new CDC blackout", whatever that is.

2. I read that pharmacies are no longer giving out vaccine info after administering them on order from CDC

Maybe that’s not correct then?

6. My child picked up a new prescription, not a vaccine

However, I was equating the CDC’s lack of vaccine info to not requiring the pharmacy to hand out drug info paperwork.

8. You can go online and read everything you need to know about any drug. It's a massive waste of paper, imo.

I was just inquiring with the awesome people on DU if the CDC had issued a statement to not hand out info or if it was the pharmacy that forgot to include it.
