The national debt clock website has apparently added a Doge clock which tracks how much money the Doge department has saved in federal spending. I hadnt heard of it until recently when a Trumper I know started popping off about how they e already saved 60 billion in 2 weeks. My question is where on earth are these numbers coming from??? 60 billion in 2 weeks extrapolated out over a year is $1.5 trillion. We are to believe they can fit a trillion and a half wasteful dollars a year? Come on

(18,889 posts)The Durst Organization owns and maintains the US Debt Clock. Douglas Durst became the president of the Durst Organization after his father's death. Artkraft Strauss is responsible for keeping the figures on the clock up to date.
All the debt clocks on the site are updated continuously to the most precise calculations, using complex formulas and exacting standards, and the values displayed are verified from the best sources available.
The Durst Organization is a realty company.

If so, their website doesn't post a live version of the clock. Perhaps there's a webcam pointed at it online?
