6. Blaming Musk gives them cover

Pointing to Musk and throwing all the criticism at him gives cover to Trump AND the Republicans. Musk can do their dirty work and they won’t face the vitriol as much.

Trump is president, he’s in charge. All of this is his fault as well as the Republican Party who holds the majority in Congress giving them the ability to stop this lawlessness but who choose not to.

We need to remind folks whose fault this really is Trump and even more so the Republicans in Congress. Dems will be running against Republicans in elections, we need to attach the blame of this to them.
