Meanwhile, tuberculosis gets to spread and polio gets another shot. I wager this president is vaccinated against both.

(3,250 posts)One Sunday morning, her dog grabbed a stollen off the countertop, still wrapped from the bakery, and dragged it over to the couch to rip it apart. We called it "the case of the stolen stollen".
And yes, the cleanup took forever. At least it was mostly powdered sugar, and stollens aren't especially greasy, so it could have been worse.

Prep:45 mins
Cook:35 mins
plus 2 hrs soaking and at least 3 hrs proving and setting
Makes 25-36
Turn stollen into bite-size treats. With squidgy, sweet bread studded with fruit and wrapped in marzipan, its easy to see why this German bake is so popular.
Ingredients
150g sultanas
300g plain flour
plus extra for dusting
7g sachet fast-action dried yeast
1 tbsp caster sugar
¼ tsp ground cardamom
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
150ml whole milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 medium egg
1 lemon
zested
100g glacé cherries
roughly chopped
flavourless oil
for proving
250g marzipan
100g icing sugar
plus extra for dusting
75g unsalted butter
Method
step 1
Put the sultanas in a heatproof bowl and pour over 100ml hot water from the kettle. Leave to soak for at least 2 hrs, or overnight.
step 2
Tip the flour, yeast, caster sugar, spices and 1 tsp salt into a large bowl. Heat the milk in a pan over a low heat or microwave until just warm, but do not boil. Whisk the vanilla and egg into the warm milk, and pour into the dry ingredients. Use your hands to combine everything into a soft dough, then tip out onto a work surface and knead for 8-10 mins until soft and springy. (You can also do this in a stand mixer fitted with the dough hook, for 5 mins.)

"Stollen" is a sweet, dessert bread from Germany, often made and served around Christmas.
"Stolen" is what your crew of dimwit minions have done in taking money from the American people that funded federal agencies, you fucking putz.

On Thursday, he spelled stolen as stollen in a bogus claim on Truth Social about the U.S. Agency for International Development and media outlets.
LOOKS LIKE BILLIONS OF DOLLARS HAVE BEEN STOLLEN AT USAID, AND OTHER AGENCIES, MUCH OF IT GOING TO THE FAKE NEWS MEDIA AS A PAYOFF FOR CREATING GOOD STORIES ABOUT THE DEMOCRATS, he wrote.
If dollars were stollen, theyd look like the delicious German Christmas bread thats similar to fruitcake. Thats what stollen actually is.
And as many have joked before, it would probably taste great with covfefe, one of Trumps most memorable blunders.
But stollen clearly has an important place in his typo-ridden heart.
This is at least the 24th time Trump has incorrectly used stollen on social media since March 5, 2019.

I won't call him a drooling idiot. That would be far too generous. Besides, I reserve the term "drooling idiot" for the people who voted for him.
