Trump's shock-and-awe start to his presidency isn't polling well

Support for Donald Trump and the slew of executive orders he's signed since he reentered the White House is dismally low, according to a new poll from Civiqs conducted for Daily Kos.

Just 45% of registered voters approve of the job Trump is doing, while 52% are opposed, according to the poll, which was fielded Feb. 1-4.

Trump's support is even lower with independent voters. Fifty-three percent disapprove of the job he's doing, while only 43% approve.

The fact that Trump's job approval is this low just over two weeks into the job is a bad sign for him going forward. The beginning of a president's term is usually when they are at their high-water mark of support with voters.

That now the Musk’s techies only have read-only access. The sad truth is they already have all the data on some portable drives that they can access anytime. Plus combined with the backdoors that they have put into the system - the systems are totally compromised.

Now, this Sovereign Wealth thing that Trump is yakking about - means that they have a vessel to transfer and steal directly from the treasury. I wouldn’t be surprised if $1 Trillion dollars + comes up missing, loss, misplaced etc. .

46. GOP support for Musk influence with Trump falls dramatically

Feb 2025
https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/5129353-gop-support-for-musk-influence-with-trump-falls-dramatically-poll/

The share of Republicans who say they want tech billionaire Elon Musk to have significant influence in the Trump administration has fallen substantially in the months since President Trump was elected.

In The Economist/YouGov poll taken in the days after the November 2024 election, 47 percent of surveyed Republicans said they wanted Musk to have “a lot” of influence in the Trump administration, while 29 percent wanted “a little” and 12 percent wanted him to have “none at all.”

Today, however, the share of Republicans who say they want Musk to have “a lot” of influence has fallen substantially to 26 percent. Meanwhile, 43 percent of Republican respondents say they want Musk to have “a little” influence, and 17 percent say they want him to have “none at all,” according to the latest poll from The Economist/YouGov released Wednesday.

Surveyed Democrats and independents are also showing less desire for Musk to have a prominent influence in the Trump administration. Only 6 percent of each group say they want Musk to have “a lot” of influence. In November, 15 percent of Democrats and 26 percent of independents said they wanted him to have “a lot” of influence in the administration.

We are truly f--ed as a country if roughly half the people approve of what he is doing. (Though I suspect that percentage will dwindle further in the days to come...)
