WASHINGTON ― President Donald Trump is ready to ditch paper straws and go back to plastic.

Trump, in a post on Truth Social Friday, said he will issue an executive order that rolls back efforts made by former President Joe Biden's administration for the federal government to embrace more environmentally-friendly paper straws.

"I will be signing an Executive Order next week ending the ridiculous Biden push for Paper Straws, which don’t work. BACK TO PLASTIC!" Trump said.

Actually, I don't remember the last time I used a straw!
But, my point was bigger than straws.
My dad was a milkman (delivered milk to the supermarkets) and I don't remember him ever mentioning there were problems with the paper cartons.
(I will say he thought it was sensational when they switched from glass. Made the full cases lighter by the weight of 20 bottles, and the same for the empty crates. He was probably moving a thousand fewer pounds a day!)
