Was listening in my car to NPR last week and caught the end of an interview with someone who'd plowed through the DEI info (a male whose intro I missed). He made the point that two of the most used words he found in those lists and texts were "woman" and "women".

My theory is that his female voters are swayed by male influencers, are ultra-religious, are wealthy, or are all three.

Tangentially, a guest on Michelangelo Signorile's program yesterday said that the Center for Missing and Exploited Children will have a bunch of new rules that are abhorrent, one of them being they can no longer feature transgender kids (who are among the MOST at risk, especially now). I didn't understand if that literally means transgender kids who are missing or endangered will not be advertised at all in any capacity--no alerts sent, etc... That was the gut feeling I got from the reporting.

This assault on the language is so demoralizing and surreal.
