Trump's Illegal Acts

I think one day the Supreme Court's decision on Presidential immunity may be overturned, if the Republic survives or is reborn in the future. The ruling states that Presidents can not be prosecuted for "official acts". But the powers of the President are defined by the Constitution and limited by it. If the President engages in unlawful and unconstitutional acts, these acts by definition can not be "official" since they are outside of the scope of the constitutional powers of the Presidency. Illegal and unconstitutional acts can not therefore be "official".

What Trump (and Musk) are doing by defunding and destroying agencies and programs is illegal and unconstitutional. It is an usurpation of the constitutional powers of the Congress. It is not within the legal power of the President and his agents to do this. So since it is not within the constitutional powers of the President it can not be "official". As such, the President and his agents could be held accountable for these crimes and perhaps one day might be prosecuted for these crimes.

I understand your outrage. My point is that unconstitutional acts can't be official and that Trump Musk's destruction of the federal government is an usurpation of the powers of Congress and so is not within the legal powers of the Executive Branch. Right now we do not have control of the Congress or the Supreme Court but we may regain power at some point. If and when that happens we may have a chance to hold these criminals responsible for what they are doing.

For Trump, his spawn and Jared, the entire Republican Senate and House and a few hundred of their advisors and appointees.

Yes, it’s been discussed, argued and debated, and as much as I (we) all agree, the task seems monumental, as each day that the fool remains in office, he’s working at destroying the values of the country in which we’ve grown up. He is not slowing down. It’s now act two of his shit show and he’s more determined than ever to become the world’s most influential dictator.
The time to act is now because as we’ve all seen, the wheels of what we would like to call justice move very slowly, and again, we don’t have much time to stop him.

Resistance now is of the utmost importance. Maybe if democracy prevails these constitutional issues will be addressed in the future. But I agree that there needs to be action now.

That the Trump Musk Regime is clearly illegal and unconstitutional. Therefore it's authority is null and void. It is an illegal regime. The people have a moral and legal right to stop it. Possibly the only way out is a mass uprising of the American people.
