Will the current musk coup define our future?

I stumbled onto this article, which has a number of highly relevant links to other articles worth reading, after reading an article about plutocracy and the Super Bowl in Common Dreams ( link also included below).

I like history. I believe what is happening now is what happened at the fall of the Soviet Union. LiberalArkie Feb 2025 #6

Where state owned enterprises were "given" to a select few who then became the Russian oligarchs.

Change happens. Reagan created the oligarch class with his tax reduction on the top income earners. No one D or R ever made the effort to roll it back. You know, once a person has a lot of money their attitudes change. They are like an addict, "I LIKE THIS, I WANT MORE"

I do not worry about it really. Stuff happens. As I often say that in the world stage the U.S. is a toddler. We are around 250 years old. Most of the other countries in Asia, Europe etc are over 5,000 years old and are still here and generally prospering.

Without a substantial resistance, we are doomed. Plus, we need to send cyber security teams in to figure out what musk’s teams have done which isn’t going to happen under plan Bondi. I believe resistance is futile. We handed over the keys too easily this time. 😳 I think the end game has been run and we lost.
