The only one I have was from his last term my wife's nephew I told him it would be chaos and he said no that is just an act he will do a presidential pivot. Saw him a year later and asked so how is that pivot going? He admitted trump was a disaster.
He is the only one I know personally that changed his mind. The rest of my in laws that are supporters seem to have doubled down on supporting the Orange Menace.
Dropped a few friends after the first term may be dropping more, really sucks with relatives.

(14,307 posts)They have been conditioned with constant claims (by Donvict) of 'witch hunt', 'fake news', and everything done by the 'left' as 'disgusting'. So, whatever they hear that claims their leader is a fraud, rapist, traitor, felon, etc. is chalked up to hate and/or envy by the left.
Add to that the sources for information they use (such as Fox so-called News) never tells them anything that would rightfully credit Dem policies, people, and instead criticizes them if they are mentioned at all. Much real news isn't even covered.
Basically, traitor 47 voters are ill-equipped to understand current events, history, and civics. Add to that their go-team group think, and a healthy dash of bigotry and resentment.

All in my family are democrats, my wife's family is about 80% trumpers.
My town here in the Catskills is 68% registered republicans One guy has FORT MAGA with Trump underneath in 4' high letters painted on his garage. NY is not very blue around here.

(37,130 posts)Undoubtedly some undecided voters who made last minute decisions and screwed themselves regret it now. But I think the average Trump voter lives on chaos and shits discontent. It's in their blood. The more chaos he creates, the more he validates their grievances, which have become permanent.

I figure my tax accountant and financial advisor are Trumpsters but we don't discuss politics.
