Paranoid Elon Musk Says That USAID Has Been Constructing a False Reality Around Us

Elon Musk is making a wild new claim: that USAID — and untold other regions of the American federal government, apparently — has constructed a false, "Truman Show"-esque reality around us.

Keyword: saying. It means nothing, and Musk — who's currently knee-deep in a digitally-driven power grab within the federal government — has offered no proof of the wild claim that we're living in an intentionally constructed false reality built by the foreign aid agency he's bragged about feeding into a "woodchipper."

The United States Agency for International Development, or USAID, is America's primary provider of all foreign aid. It's a complex agency that does a lot of things, from treating and preventing the spread of disease to delivering food and medical supplies in war-torn or famine-stricken areas, to sometimes providing disaster relief. It also played a significant role in advancing democratic interests in post-Soviet-era Europe and battling Apartheid in South Africa.

While USAID does a lot of good work, it's not exactly a charity: USAID is considered the soft arm of American foreign policy, working to advance American interests globally without the use or need for military force — in short, promulgating American influence and combatting that of adversaries like Russia and China. It's the friendlier face of the empire, basically.

1. Soft Power

It is called Soft Power but it is power nonetheless. Among other missions, USAID helps keep a lid on possible disease outbreaks that could eventually reach the continental USA. USAID also generates good will in countries where it is active by limiting famine and other threats to human life and political stability. The absence of USAID in these countries will create a vacuum that will likely be filled by China. Either Musk is ignorant of this, or if he is aware he does not care. Which is either criminally reckless or in the service of Chinese policies, power, and goals.

6. 100%, He Claimed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris Were Puppets

Throughout much of the 2024 presidential campaign Elon Musk claimed that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were puppets to wealthy donors and if Kamala Harris were elected, she would continue to be a puppet to wealthy donors. Now it is clear that Donald Trump is Elon Musk's puppet. Every accusation continues to be a confession.

5. He Is Not Paranoid

Elon Musk is not paranoid; he is trying to destroy USAID because the leadership of the organization had the audacity to try to hold him accountable for not following the rules. Musk is conducting a smear campaign against the government agencies that tried to hold him accountable for his actions.

Also, I think people and members of Congress should look at the loan agreements Musk made when he took loans from foreign countries in order to buy Twitter/X. It is my understanding that Musk took money from Russia, China, and Saudi Arabia in order to come up with the money to buy Twitter/X. That now needs to be investigated considering Musk is demanding to have access to our payment systems and to either determine what government agencies exist, or to determine their budgets. Who knows what Musk is really trying to accomplish?
