The Mahomes family posed for photos with Trump. I did not watch it. I hope the hits were hard. The Mahomes are BS 'Christians' celebrating the inevitable deaths of mothers and babies now that Trump/Musk have killed USAID.
Merciless Philadelphia Eagles dismantle Kansas City Chiefs to win Super Bowl
The 59th Super Bowl was the second meeting in three years between Philadelphia and Kansas City on the NFLs biggest stage, with the Eagles still nursing the scars of the first installment: a heart-stopping 38-35 Chiefs win in Arizona in which a hobbled Mahomes orchestrated a near-perfect second half to overturn a 10-point deficit that erased Hurts career-best performance. This one went the other way and wasnt nearly as close.

They looked huge, powerful, confident and ready to hit the ground running.
The guys in the white and red looked small, very antsy and low confidence.
I was at a neighborhood gathering last night and made this comment right from the
beginning about the guys in green and everyone jumped and me and said
the guys in red and white would win. I said I don't think so.

(18,714 posts)My wife said something similar. She said the Chiefs looked deflated coming out on the field and wondered if something had happened between players in the locker room prior to the game. Philly looked focused, energized and ready to play. That certainly played out on the field
Irish_Dem
(81,248 posts)Interesting, she wondered what had happened to cause the white and red team collapse
before they got out on the field. Good question.
There was a huge amount of pressure on the red and white team.
They were trying to get a third title.
And the green team was loaded for bear.
And had nothing to lose.
The psychology was working against the red and white team.

(1,777 posts)And a powerful run game and a stellar offensive line. The guys in red got lucky and squeaked by about 9 times.
The late money broke 80% to the Eagles. Always watch the late money. Early betting are fanboys. Late bets come from the professionals.
Your friends dont know what they are talking about. 😀

I would wait to make the bet until after I saw the teams come out of the gate and play a little bit.
You can see the psychology right away usually. Especially if the QB is looking wobbly.
Of course unless it is Ohio State. They don't start playing football until the second half of the game
usually. After Ryan Day kicks their asses all over the locker room at half time.
But I would think with pro ball, they start playing right out of the gate.
And they probably are not wearing their feelings on their sleeves like college kids.
Of course the red and white team QB last night looked like he needed to call a crisis hot line.

Of course with Ohio State they could lose a game they are winning.
We love our Buckeyes but fans have a nervous breakdown the entire game,
fans cussing even when the Bucks are winning. We know the game could
go sideways any second.

(2,508 posts)KC has benefitted from crooked refs all year, the NFL tried REALLY hard to pump up this team for corporate America, like they did with the Pats back in the day or the Cowboys even further back. No one likes a football dynasty, we want underdogs to rise and win eventually.
All that said, Mahomes seems like a nice kid, his wife does too, they're extremely close to Taylor Swift and her furry faced man who seem to be beloved by this community for some reason. He never endorsed Trump despite the media trying to force an endorsement out of him. I don't care if his family posed with Trump for a picture, heck he wasn't even in it.
TLDR; Its football and Im glad KC LOST!
AkFemDem
(2,508 posts)KC are not "republicans" either. Every team has some players from each party and I'm sure a lot of players who don't bother to vote at all. there's no good team vs bad team for any political reasons.

(525 posts)not say anything supportive of Trump, and won't be invited to the WH accordingly.
The high profile players for the Chiefs have done the opposite.
Also, the owners of the Eagles donate to Democrats, the Chiefs to Republicans.
It's fine if that doesn't sway which team you cheer for, but there's an obvious delineation.
