The evangelicals actually believe Trump is the Antichrist. They support him because the Antichrist must rule for 7 years before Armageddon happens. In their end times theology, they believe the righteous will be raptured straight to heaven, without the pain and suffering of actually dying.

So they get raptured, Armageddon happens and they watch from heaven while they eat holy popcorn. Christ returns, slays the Antichrist and rules for 1000 years of peace.

This is why they don't give a shit about taking care of the planet. This is why they want WWIII and push for it to start in the Middle East. This is why they "support" Israel - because it fulfills Biblical prophecy. They don't give a shit about Jews.

Now, I am not a Christian and never have been. But Christians who believe in end times theology believe this stuff AND WANT IT TO HAPPEN.
