I just want to get the word out about how vile and nasty the GOP is. A Senator really posted this comment on my Facebook page because I said something negative about trump on my page. His comment is not Photoshopped or altered in any way. I am 70 years old and never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine that my country would become like this where elected officials are trolling citizens because they do not agree with a corrupt president who is a convicted felon. What happened to the 1st amendment they claimed we all have? It is only ok when they spew hate? They are a bunch of hypocrites.

This must be a little out of date because his term ended in January. State senator from Wyoming, crazy as a loon, look him up.

Among other things: In 2021, Bouchard shared a meme on Facebook calling for the execution of US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Anthony Fauci.

quite the sordid story.

The girl he impregnated gave birth to a son at 15 (they married when he was 19, she 15). Divorced, after 3 years, and she committed suicide at age 20.

I can't be sure, but I believe this individual feels absolutely no remorse, nor did anything for the child left behind.

I'm no angel by any means, but something about this story, (the woman and the son) just hit me hard in the chest.

I'm an old Vet that has done a lot of things in my life that I wish I hadn't, I spent three years with the VA's Veteran Suicide Prevention Team, doing walk-ups to potential suicides. At times it was pretty touchy, but I never lost anyone. I have PTSD and Chronic Depression, but I've tried to save as many people as I could. For this woman, giving birth at 15, then leaving a (perhaps) 4 1/2 year old behind by committing suicide, is about as low as it can get. He has to know all of this, all I did was a quick Wiki look.

This guy and his current wife own a septic cleaning company, he should be living in a septic tank (if he should be alive at all).

I apologize for the somber note of this post, it is the empathy in me that has snarled me this early in the morning. She has a name, Victoria Eavis and she died in 1990.

If he forgot it, I won't.

However, it makes it even worse.

You are certainly correct that at 14 she was indeed a child.
No one should ever be abused, in particular a child, it is one of the Red Lines that I feel cannot be crossed.

I don't know much about "morality" as that is a religious aspect, and I am an atheist. What I do know is right from wrong, and I learned it the hard way. This idiot was not even in school yet when I was in an ill-conceived war, consigned to taking the lives of others, while protecting those around me. For some abstract reason, some people feel no repercussions for their actions, I am not one of them. I came back, became a Medic, and went back to save lives, both American and Vietnamese. Every day, I live with everything I've ever done, this has brought me to a state where compassion and empathy often overrule my sense of self-preservation.

I obviously do not know you, but as I type this, I can almost feel the terror you and Victoria went through, but I can truly never know. Over the years, I have stopped two sexual abusers because of the cries I heard. I'm no one special, and certainly no hero, but the two perpetrators were in bad shape when the police arrived (Red Lines). That was quite a few years ago, with a few years interspersed between the incidents. I am truly sorry that you or any girl or woman goes through this, and you are brave to have posted what you have. I only wish that I, or someone like me, were close enough to intervene.

When Victoria took her own life, she was a woman, traumatized, and bereft.

My heart goes out to you, and I hope the individual paid dearly. I am a man of principles, and have learned that what I have done in the past cannot be undone. I can't bring the dead back to life, nor can I repair their families. What I can do is teach and protect those who would be devoured by their thoughts, or the rabid wolves that prey on others.

Empathy is a somewhat cheap word, but the emotion is real.

Stay safe and strong.

From The Guardian:

"Wyoming state senator Anthony Bouchard, a Republican trying to unseat US congresswoman Liz Cheney next year, revealed that he impregnated a 14-year-old girl when he was 18, describing the relationship as “like the Romeo and Juliet” story in a description that drew a rebuke from a sexual assault prevention group."

“It’s a story when I was young, two teenagers, girl gets pregnant,” he said in the video. “You’ve heard those stories before. She was a little younger than me, so it’s like the Romeo and Juliet story.”

Bouchard married the girl when she was 15 and he was 19, when both were living in Florida. They divorced three years later, he told the newspaper. She killed herself when she was 20, Bouchard said.

The woman committed suicide at the age of 20"

He sounds like a repulsive, disgusting excuse for a human being.

And man, what a hateful, vile POS this guy is. This is who we are fighting. Luckily, the vast majority of people in this country and good and decent people. Unfortunately, the awful ones are really loud and really persistent. And now they feel justified and emboldened by this criminal regime that is trying to steamroll this country and its people.

So much so that he managed to offend his own caucus, and was stripped of all committee assignments. Probably one of the reasons he is "former" state senator. Oh, and he bragged about raping the 14 year old girl, impregnating her, then marrying her after she gave birth. I wonder where that son is now (he is in his 40's).

Poor kid got sent to that monster at the age of 4.

From an article:

Who is Anthony Bouchard's son Tony?
Bouchard's son Tony, now 36, is currently incarcerated at Bob Wiley Detention Facility in Tulare County, California, for alleged sex crimes, including sodomy against a 51-year-old woman.

After his mother's death, Tony was raised by his father.

According to the Daily Mail, Tony faces charges of sodomy by use of force, forcible oral copulation, sexual penetration by a foreign object, force and violence, and false imprisonment by violence.
