The real Bobby Kennedy quote: Every time we turn our head

“Every time we turn our heads the other way when we see the law flouted, when we tolerate what we know to be wrong, when we close our eyes and ears to the corrupt because we are too busy or too frightened, when we fail to speak up and speak out, we strike a blow against freedom and decency and justice.”
― Robert F. Kennedy

A friend and I stood on line in the heat for 5 hrs or so to pay our respects at St Patricks. Then I went down next day to see the procession head to Penn Station for the funeral train to DC. Devasting times.

I am thoroughly ashamed of what Jr. has become. RFK (Sr.) himself would be absolutely appalled at it. I don't think Jr. understands one whit about what his father was, or was about.

A most appropos quote for our time. I truly wish our political leaders would abide by it.

As a very young teen, putting flyers under windshield wipers of cars in shopping center.

I was watching on TV the night he was shot when they broke in with the news. All I remember is just sobbing for hours. The first time politics and hatred broke my heart.
