I don't like the dread I feel when grocery shopping

I look at the ads for local stores, make a list and stick to the list. I get anxious as I get ready to go shopping because too often, the things the store offered in the sale ad aren't avaiable when I get there. It doesn't seenm to matter if I go the first day of the new ad, or wait. Since the Covid lockdown, the shortages happen less frequently, but now I take it for granted I won't come home with everything I planned to buy. About the only shiopping I do these days is for groceries, and between costs and scarcity, there is no fun in it. Now that food and shelter have become part of corporate bottom lines, I bet it won't get any better.

See what products they actually have and are marked down.
Sometimes this is the best way to get some good bargains.

Yes I think product scarcity and the scam advertisements are going to get worse.

4. What I hate the most are the ads that say, "Two for the price of one" but don't say what the price is.

I've always shopped with a list, try to get the sale items. Between that I get, and what I have on hand, I get a good variety. I liked shopping better when lack of items wasn't a factor in the hunt

I like fresh fruits and vegetables.
Sometimes an item I really like is missing.
Or looks old and wilted.

Usually there is a person in produce stocking the shelves or removing old items.
I ask them if they have the missing item or fresher produce in back or on the truck.
They will usually go get it for me.

Yes things have changed since Covid. Products are missing off the shelves.
Shopping is now more like a scavenger hunt!

It makes sticking to a list difficult, you have to go with the flow and see what is actually
available.
