Got my income tax refund.

I filed on Jan. 31 and the refund was deposited today. Maybe they haven't broken that yet? Someone else posted that theirs came in a week, so I've been checking every day. Knowing someone else got their quickly gave me hope.

Anyway, I'm relieved.

Filed on the 31st, same as you. It's been pending for three days. I was really starting to wonder if it would really show up.

I think it said until the 15th, but I can't remember for sure. But it's not pending. Hopefully yours will turn into real money soon!

I think they will be ending it abruptly.

I feel sick at what is happening.

My husband COULD keep working, but he'll be 70 and is really ready to retire. His company would keep him as long as he wants to work. I'm on Social Security now. Trying not to worry too much, but it's hard.

It goes against everything in my being knowing that my
money is funding criminal and evil behavior. This would be
for me what is considered moral injury.

I might file and extension for October to see how it pans out.

I know so many need their rebates and I totally understand.
I feel like it may be one of the last tools in the toolbox to
save Democracy.

I agree that I don't want my taxes to fund the shit show that's going on. All the more reason to get my overpayment back while I still could. The taxes have already been paid, so how does not filing help anything unless you owe tax?

They will want the tax payments processed first.
