Elon is KILLING people

This needs to be repeated over and over. Every protest should have signs that spell this out starkly. He is a madman.

The world’s richest man is boasting about destroying the United States Agency for International Development, which saves the lives of the world’s poorest children, saying he shoved it “into the wood chipper.”

By my calculations, Elon Musk probably has a net worth greater than that of the poorest billion people on Earth. Just since Donald Trump’s election, Musk’s personal net worth has grown by far more than the entire annual budget of U.S.A.I.D., which in any case accounts for less than 1 percent of the federal budget. It’s callous for gleeful billionaires like Musk and President Trump to cut children off from medicine, but, as President John F. Kennedy pointed out when he proposed the creation of the agency in 1961, it’s also myopic.

Cutting aid, Kennedy noted, “would be disastrous and, in the long run, more expensive.” He added: “Our own security would be endangered and our prosperity imperiled.”

Perhaps that’s why Russia has praised Trump’s move.

In contrast with Kennedy, the Trump administration braids together cruelty, ignorance and shortsightedness, and that combination seems particularly evident in its assault on American humanitarian assistance.

It's not just Elon.

It's Republicans! They. Are. Wicked. All of them. In the WH and in the Congress.

Evil does exist and it has swallowed the Republican Party in the United States whole.

This will not stand. There are more good people than bad in this country and they are going to rise up

... I am reminded of Vincent D'Onofrio's brilliant portrayal in the movie, Men In Black, of a giant bug in a man suit. Musk is a malevolent cockroach in a man suit. Like Trump, he has no discernible redeeming qualities whatsoever. And now, he shows us all his utter contempt for humanity by deliberately attacking the weakest and neediest of all of us, just like every other cowardly bully that Satan ever shat out. It should be noted that the weakest and neediest are almost always the victims of greedy corporatists who put profits over the lives of others; others who are not deemed worthy of their concern because they're not rich, they're just in the way.
Musk has GOT to be be taken down, if not out, altogether. And ya don't bring a butter knife to a gunfight. These evil fucks are running roughshod over the Rule of Law, and those who could take him down are, instead, beshitting themselves over what the polls might say about them. For once in your sniveling, self-centered lives, do what's best for your fellow Americans, not what's best for your reelection prospects.
Now is when we really need Jack Smith in his white hat to start kicking ass in steel-toed boots, and taking names written in blood.
These psychotic monsters aren't going down without a fight, and it will be bad. If you don't have the stomach for it, get out of the way, and shut the fuck up.

These psychotic creeps would have more money than God even if they paid taxes at a rate commensurate with their income, which they do not. And yet, they just can't resist fucking over people who have no defense against their unmitigated evil, and they do it just for the fun of it. Have any of them ever done anything good? Is there a single Musk charity? A Bezos hospital wing for children? A Zuckerberg bake sale for disadvantaged poodles?

I track labor market trends (hangover from previous life). It has never been harder and more grueling to get a job than it is today. Employers are putting people through a demeaning gauntlet, and people talk about submitting hundreds of resumes with no results.

Even if they do get a job, pay and working conditions have deteriorated significantly. Tech companies are also having a lot of layoffs, making it more miserable.

My heart goes out to all of those civil servants now dumped into this labor market.

Justice matters.

I was listening to Rebel HQ this morning. The host played a clip of former USAID Administrator under Shrub Andrew Natsios, and I learned that USAID was ranked third among the best-managed government agencies. USAID doesn't get to decide where the money goes since that is Congress's and the OMBs job.

The current administration is very good at taking the lead to push us back on our heels. We seem to always start from a defensive position. The DNC needs to come out NOW, and SWINGING.
