If Mitch McConnell had pushed for conviction of Trump after getting impeached for January 6th...

Who would be President now? It sure wouldn't be Trump, as he would not be allowed to ever run for public office again if he were convicted.

I do not.
Elon Musk bought the government and the price was $250M and a promise to say nice things about (and act a fool at events for) Minister for Revenge Trump.

There is no ideas in Trump's empty rotting head for anything other than what he has always been - a pathetic, damaged and unloving and unloved human piece of shit caused by another warped piece of shit named Fred. Period.

voting that way when he knows it won't defeat his wingnuts. PATEL next week. The "concerned" ones - Collins, Grassley, Cassidy - at least vote their real, cowardly selves.

The "concerned" ones are the ones that listen to McConnell. This is all calculated. John Thune doesn't get magical powers now that he was put in charge of the caucus. Much like Nancy Pelosi wields power in the House, McConnell remains a de facto leader by virtue of his just being there.

If he wanted absolution of leadership, he'd resign from the Senate.

President’s SCOTUS nominations.

I don’t have two shits to give for McConnell’s new worthless change of heart now. He has had a major hand in setting up this government to be taken over by lawless MAGA thugs. He is one.of their MVPs.
