7. There's a selection pressure for buffoonery. Namely, The Convicted Felon.

Think of it like biological evolution/Darwinism, but instead of generations/reproducing the success/failure aspect is keeping your job for another Scaramucci/fortnight. And instead of a gene pool or breeding population it is a minion pool.

The non-buffoons are unable or unwilling to do whatever is required by TCF to keep their jobs for that next time cycle, and are weeded out of the minion pool. Those who persist are bigger buffoons on average than those who have been removed, and the replacements are on average akin to the existing minions at any given moment. Over time, many iterations, the existing minion pool becomes more and more buffoon-like. A survival of the buffoonish.

You can sometimes see a demonic element in the eyes and faces of MAGA leadership and minions. It is an expression of twisted glee. These people live for cruelty and the destruction of all that is sensible and good and kind. Whatever was once human, or humane, in them has been driven out by their choice and unlikely to return. I truly believe they would kill us all if they could, and be quite happy in their endeavors.
