(19,358 posts)(Barron's, 2/12/25) "Coming into Wednesday trading, Tesla stock dropped for five consecutive trading days, losing about 16% in the process. Shares are down about 23% since the Jan. 20 presidential inauguration and about 32% from a record closing high of almost $480 in mid-December."

(7,955 posts)I really, really, really want to see him bankrupt... but it'll never happen. These kinds of people just keep on going, making money hand over fist because they don't care who gets hurt in the process. They're the most important person in and to the world, in their minds. Besides, push comes to shove, he'll just steal another idea, buy that company, and start the grift all over again. It's all he knows. Like trump, he's never had a real creative intelligent thought of his own. No wonder they make such good bedfellows. They're not even the flip sides of the same coin. They ARE the coin, together.

(13,661 posts)simply UGLY TRUCKS. Ugh, those things are truly awful.
Ive seen a couple of those monstrosities on the street, and they look like cheap special effects from 1960s Dr. Who episodes. I hear theyre selling like cold soggy hotcakes. No wonder he tried to sell them to the govt. as armored vehicles.
sells them to trump usa, they may
be modified and used as 'deterrents'
for protesters- chilling

(8,187 posts)Everything in the country must go, while it still has value!
Both Trump and Musk are assuming their 'income' is immutable.
Wait until Trump's tax base shrinks because people are getting fired and the economy is going downhill, and Musk's Tesla shares become worthless.
. . . then again, some preventative action to stop the economy from sliding into the abyss altogether, might be preferable.
Let Tesla die, but save the economy!

(9,212 posts)I wish we had been able to go today at the one near us, I was not feeling well. If they have another one, I will try to go. I was debating on what to put on a sign. I think M is a Nazi, etc., and other stuff.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
