The last 3 weeks Costco membership lines in Atlanta has been crazy.I think it is the fact that they stuck with DEI.

(34,908 posts)Still too far to drive, especially given the risks of driving in what amounts to a free-for-all on the road. All we have here is a Sam's Club, and no chance in hell I'm paying for a memebship to that dump.

(60,179 posts)It's a little over a half hour drive, double that if you leave at the wrong time of day.
Still, he runs down there about 3 times a month (he's retired, I'm not), and when I'm in the States, I almost always make at least one Costco run with him. D.C. is usually my last stop in North America on the way back here, and my suitcases are always heavier after a Costco run than they were before I got to Virginia. Fortunately, my status with Air Chance/KLM allows me 3 suitcases up to 32Kg each. If I had the limits allotted to normal mortals, the food and medicinal stuff from Costco would cost me double just for the extra weight alone.

I feel so stuck!
I feel for you, I really do!
Hang-in there best you can. These are trying times we are living in and I dislike them very much!

(3,349 posts)I had to get dog food and a couple other things and damn, getting through the aisles was rough. It's also snowbird (a.k.a. winter visitor) season - another reason the place was packed.

(3,349 posts)But I was down to my last can of dog food. I usually go right when they open at 10 as the lines are shorter and crowds thinner. But the week got away from me...and I couldn't look into the eyes of my spoiled little pack if I'd just given them dry kibble.

(22,214 posts)They have the lowest prices to be found where I am located.
The COSTCO tends to be packed full of people and kids.
There is nothing much in there for a single person to buy other than clothing and I'm not buying anymore clothing.
I don't need 10 lbs. of anything!
