(272 posts)Back in September I was given the same 'options' from the site and I decided to request a more formal review and never heard back. I would occasionally log in and make another request. They say they will give it another look but clearly don't they just want you to 'willingly remove' your post. I left the site and requested my account be closed/removed. The will not do that either. Leading me to the very obvious conclusions that there is no free speech on twitter only censorship and that the number of active users is inflated. Probably by a LOT.

(4,668 posts)Id check if yours does and then invoke it.
Especially if fb has no mechanism to invoke it. Then you get to complain about them to your AG for failing to adhere to the statute.

(7,417 posts)150 of them look to be those $5 drinky girls who want you to follow their only fans or some swill. And I don't even mess with Politics on Twitter for a long time now. I can't imagine how bad it is for those who are. I tried to keep up with it by blocking but eventually gave up.
Political twitter is a waste of time IMHO. It's basically a few people with a following and maybe 100 Thousand tops of actual people who are engaged of which no one really listens. The vast majority seem to be several million accounts that are all duplicates or farms or whatever you want to call them looking to drive ad money or push an agenda.

(10,827 posts)But for different reasons. If BlueSky got taken over by someone like Musk, you can take all your data and put your own version of BlueSky up. Or join a BlueSky competitor that runs on the underlying codebase.

(2,562 posts)1. Which "community guidelines" does this violate?
2. Exactly HOW does this cartoon violate those guidelines?
3. What kind of guidelines would make this cartoon unacceptable? Those "guidelines" are themselves unacceptable, I am sure.
I would make them explain their answers to all of those questions.
I am not on X and never was when it was Twitter. But I like the suggestion of another poster in this thread, that you should re-post this same cartoon every day, along with an explanation of this event and your comments about their "guidelines". If they kick you off X, I would say, good riddance.
Also, they say they "received a complaint" about your cartoon. You could complain about postings that promote similar but comparable right-wing points of view. Not that right-wing blatherings are in any way comparable to the concerns of people here on DU, but you know what I mean. Use their own tactics against them.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
