So, have we started talking about what happens when millions of people

can no longer afford to pay for their meds?

So far under Trump, in the first MONTH we're

seeing planes coming down from the sky,

prices of eggs rising,

consumer confidence getting worse,

our allies banding together against us,

the US National anthem being booed in allied countries.

This should be bad enough for the media to be railing over on the news every day.

What we haven't talked about is the real long-term consequences of all these policies, like people going cold turkey when they can't afford their anti-depressants.

Dems need to appoint a democratic press secretary (I think it should be Pete B). Hold a press conference every day, Sunday through Thursday in the hall of the Capitol. Tell Americans what felon 47 is doing/has done. How it is affecting the country. What dems are trying to do. Dems would own the Sunday shows. I think it's a great idea.

And donvict have done the last four years. Get a strong potential presidential candidate-(and please don’t flame me for saying this as we’ve unfortunately seen twice that this backward thinking country is not ready to elect a female to the presidency no matter how qualified) to announce he’s running and start a shadow presidency/government. Communicate with foreign leaders now, have rally’s across the nation for the next 3-4 years, contrast/compare at said rally’s as to current damage being done and how Dems have a plan to make it better. Way past time to start playing the game like it’s thunderdome instead of Ring around the Rosie. Time to bring the fire.

Right now we have no message. The impression is that we are doing nothing. That may not be true, maybe people are sort of doing stuff behind the scenes? Maybe? But how it LOOKS is like Trump is doing all this strong man, powerful STUFF and it's getting reported on like crazy, and democrats are just SILENT. Sitting on their hands. No plan. No ideas. No thoughts on where to go next. No leadership. It's not a good look!

We need to get out there and get organized and start DOING something and start talking and start fighting back and being visible and articulate, and Pete Buttigieg would be the perfect person to articulate that message.

Anything bad happening now is being attributed to Elon Musk. All the crazy stuff he is saying is being chalked up as a negotiating tactic. I don't remember moving from Nebraska to Crazy Town but her we are. The silver lining is he can't deny reality forever. The bad news is we might have to suffer alot of pain before people to see how much he is damaging the country.

Ending 40% of the US government payroll. Extract that from spending. This will begin a ripple melting of wages, wholesale prices, business relationships that touches every corner and every business in the land. It will impact mortgages, retirement funds, auto sales, credit ratings/limits/payments, retailers, food, Uber, and tire sales. It is possible everything could collapse to a lower level and stabilize, but with ever higher debt and defaults. This is like imploding a skyscraper for demolition.

Insurance stalled and denied me on my operation for several months, long enough for my employer to fire me, so my insurance could retroactively withdraw coverage to a date two months before my surgery, so now I'm on the hook for 40K for something that I THOUGHT I was covered for. So between that and other medical procedures, I'm almost 150k in debt for medical care that I was told was entirely covered yet now it's just... not.

So my wife and I, we gave up. We're leaving the country. I paid in 8k in Year To Date insurance payments, and when push came to shove, Insurance stalled me out until they could retroactively deny me coverage for procedures already undergone. Now, my entire financial future is in ruins. Why? Because I did what I was supposed to do. I followed "The System'. I did everything I was supposed to do.

The sad thing is, I don't even think this is about Trump or Biden; This is just how America is, and my wife and I finally gave in and said "We deserve better". So we're leaving.

Medicare Advantage plan to spend on healthy food. I have 3 different food giveaways that I can go to each month and share what I don't use with neighbors. An irony will be that Americans might actually become more nutritionally healthy getting off the junk food heavy Standard American Diet (SAD).
Even if and when we recover, the US will never be the same again and most of the free world is uniting against us economically. I hope they remember that Trump was not elected in a landslide but too many of us were complacent and overconfident at election time.

Feb 2025

After Joe and Meeeeka went to Mara-Lago to pay their respects and bend the knee, kiss the ring, etc — I had to go somewhere else for my morning news and coffee time. I started watching Good Morning, America. I admit it was less nerve wracking but as of late, I find there is little to NO content about what tRump and Musk are doing. If the average American is using the regular news outlets for information about ANY of what’s going on, they are in the dark! DU helps keep me informed and I check in on MSNBC after MJ is off.

I fear many of our fellow citizens are woefully uninformed and will only find out when THEY lose their jobs or go to apply for services and find the agency closed up. I honestly do not know what to do. I have tried carefully mentioning to a MAGA family member that things like Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid benefits are in danger. Also Veteran’s benefits since her husband relies heavily on his VA benefits. I do not know if any of what I said sunk in, but at least she seemed to listen.

We are in uncharted territory for the US. Honestly, I am afraid but have no idea what we are in store for. If they were to cut off communications (cell phones, internet, mail services) we will be dead in the water trying to band together to fight back. Am I way over reacting to what I have seen so far?

The main point to know is that the MAGAs will not "get it" until they are directly hurt by his policies. They assumed that Trump was going to take surgical cuts that only would affect the people they don't like. And now they are realizing that Trump has bigger plans that will affect the negatively.

What we need to make them understand is that a complete takeover of the US is possible. Trump, Putin and Elon Musk are the people we need, they need, to watch.
