Trump just looking for flimsy excuse for martial law.

Yeah, that's what I think. Hegseth willing to carry out orders to shoot protestors in the legs that Mark Esper wouldn't do. Letting Pence hang. It wouldn't take much.

Hey if you go to a Washington protest, just stay aware. Some people should probably hang out far away with their phone cameras on. They might even round up anyone with any kind of camera in the vicinity.

I'm not trying to be alarmist, just thinking ahead. You can't be too prepared. But you can certainly be the opposite.

So he can do a Kent State on innocent people.
And declare total control of the US.

It is not like we will wake up next Monday and everybody will be under arrest.

They will pick off groups one at a time. It is the fascist playbook. It always goes this same way.

If some reporters are locked up for a few days to make examples of them, most Americans will not care.

If some college protesters are shot, well, they probably shouldn't have been protesting.

If some doctors are imprisoned, some poets, some ministers, well, these things just happen. Good people have nothing to worry about.

of it has become acceptable or not taken seriously and this is where we are today. Even Republicans who might not support him have become so immobile with inaction, you could tie them up with a few spools of weak thread while they do nothing. When they do something, it is weak whining at a whisper, or more likely just making more and more excuses.
